The Jackson Avenue Center
The UM Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, in collaboration with the UM Libraries, Center for Research Evaluation, and Office of Pre-College Programs, will conduct a one-day workshop aimed at helping NSF Proposers develop compliant, competitive funding proposals to the National Science Foundation (NSF). Faculty considering proposing to the NSF Early Faculty Career Development Program (CAREER) are especially encouraged to participate; however, all faculty who conduct research of potential interest to NSF are invited, as are any potential Service Providers—faculty and staff who can offer insights, a service, or infrastructure in support of more competitive proposals, more effective programs, or broader program impacts.
The workshop will be divided into three stand-alone sessions. Registration is required, and participants may sign up to attend either the Full Program[1], or one or more of the individual sessions. Any participants who would like hands-on assistance on proposal pieces are welcome to stay after for a Q&A and Work Session. Priority registration ends May 31, and participation is limited to 20 NSF proposers and 10 service providers. If demand exceeds capacity, priority will go to those planning NSF proposals in the next 6 months.
